Terms

Terms of Service

The baseline agreement for using PledgeVault and contributing to the public pledge record.

Using PledgeVault

PledgeVault is a public record for political pledges, sources, progress updates, voting, comments, moderation, and user messaging. By using the service, you agree to use it lawfully and in good faith.

Accounts

You are responsible for the activity on your account. Keep your login details secure, do not impersonate another person or organisation, and do not create accounts to evade restrictions or manipulate activity.

Pledge records and evidence

When you post or edit pledge records, comments, sources, proofs, or timeline entries, make reasonable efforts to keep them accurate, relevant, and supported by evidence. Do not knowingly post false information, fabricated sources, private personal information, or material you do not have the right to share.

Community conduct

Debate is welcome, including sharp disagreement. Harassment, threats, hate, spam, deceptive manipulation, and targeted abuse are not. Content that puts people at risk or disrupts normal use of the service may be removed or restricted.

Moderation

Admins and scoped moderators may review content, edit pledge metadata where permitted, remove content, restrict accounts, apply posting bans, and keep audit records. Moderation decisions may consider the letter and the spirit of these terms and the Rules.

Service availability

PledgeVault may change, pause, or remove features as the product evolves. We aim to preserve public accountability records, but the service is provided as-is and may not always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as PledgeVault grows. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the updated terms.
